How To Restore the MBR of a Windows XP Installation
If your computer's MBR (Master Boot Record) gets corrupted, the computer will not your OS. To restore the MBR of a Windows XP installation:
Boot with the Windows CD.
Enter the Recovery Console.
Type
fixmbr
Reboot
